We Shape Tech

We shape tech - the movement for greater diversity in tech Our aim is to empower women transforming potential into actions and grow talents into leaders.

By creating an environment of trust, we contribute to an open exchange of ideas, knowledge and life hacks among its members. Diversity in tech enriches collaboration which ultimately leads to better products and happier users.

«WE SHAPE TECH» encourages women to step out of their comfort zones shaping an even more ambitious personal agenda. Enhancing female influence within their teams literally starts a virtuous circle. This will make each team member stronger thus helping them to lean in and achieve greater goals beyond the workplace. We plan to organize 3 to 5 events a year in Zurich, Bern and Basel. Every event will be different. Each chapter organizes events in which we want to learn from each other and create something, either workshops, co-design sessions, keynote speeches, etc.

Who gets to shape the future of tech? 🚀

As AI rapidly changes how we work, learn and build careers, this question matters more than ever. And the answer should include as many different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds as possible.

On 7 September, our sister community 50:50 World invites you to Dare to Shape Tech – In the AI Era at Kraftwerk Zürich. An evening dedicated to opening doors for migrant, refugee and international tech talent in Switzerland – and exploring what a more inclusive future of tech can look like. 💜

Expect an inspiring keynote, a panel with experts from the worlds of AI, data, education and future of work, and – just as importantly – plenty of opportunities to meet, exchange ideas and connect.

Because the future of tech isn’t something that simply happens to us. We all have a part in shaping it.

The true beauty of lies in the unique qualities and perspectives that each individual brings to the table. Embracing and celebrating our differences fosters a rich tapestry of ideas, experiences, and talents. Each person's distinct background, skills, and characteristics contribute to a diverse and vibrant community. By valuing and embracing this diversity, we create an environment where innovation thrives, as fresh perspectives challenge the status quo and lead to groundbreaking solutions. The best way forward is to recognize that it is our collective differences that make us stronger 💪, more resilient, and better equipped to navigate the complexities of our interconnected world. Inclusive diversity is not just the right path ethically, but also the most effective way to unlock the full potential of individuals and organizations alike.
