"fffound" by Matthias Gubler,
Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 6 pm

The exhibition will conclude with the performance “Points of Failure” by British artist Tim Shaw around 7:30 pm at a location nearby.

"Points of Failure" is an ongoing series of concerts and installations in which miscellaneous objects and repurposed audio equipment is used to create an audiovisual performance-environment. By using DIY electronics, found objects, light and sound making circuits, the musical potential of everyday materials is explored in response to the architectural features of the performance space. Points of Failure works entirely with live processes and no pre recorded sound material occurs during the performance.

Continuing the Das unKraut series, What Remains is a collection captured during the winter of 2018, showcasing weeds at a pivotal moment in their life cycle—either nearing its end or poised to begin anew.

In everyday language, weeds are often seen as plants that grow uncontrollably and abundantly, usually where they are not wanted. Rarely do we pause to consider their potential benefits. Instead, we tend to resent their presence in our gardens, finding them prickly, sticky, or invasive, and seek to remove them.

Through Das unKraut and now What Remains, these works explore the essence of these plants with a visual approach. By portraying various Swiss-native species across seasons, the series highlights their fragile beauty, using a sculptural style to transform the "undesired" and "unloved" into something strikingly compelling.
