🤝🎶 Meet Livio Näf, Software Engineer from Adnovum Zurich

Outside of work, he has many interests – from sports, cooking and interior design to smart home technology. However, one passion has consistently accompanied him throughout his life: playing the guitar. 🎸

Inspired by his father, he began playing at a young age. Formal lessons focused on classical, Spanish‑virtuoso techniques, which didn’t fully resonate with him. When receiving his own guitar, the one he still plays today, Livio started experimenting on his own through YouTube and online chords, discovering that he genuinely enjoys learning and playing new songs.

Playing the guitar means switching off from everything else, which helps him relax, find inner peace, and recharge his batteries.

At work, he continuously has to stay up to date and upskill, which is closely connected to practicing the guitar. The more you practice, the better you get – and the better you get 📈, the easier it is for you to learn new things.

🚴‍♀️🚶‍♂️ 𝟭𝟬,𝟴𝟯𝟱 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹.

Over the past two months, 9 teams across Switzerland and Hungary logged kilometers by bike and on foot.

No matter if they cycled, walked, or ran to get to the office or for private reasons – every kilometer counted.

Together, our teams covered an impressive 10,835 kilometers, demonstrating a shared commitment to health, wellbeing and sustainable mobility.

A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who took part. This achievement belongs to all of you. 👏

Empowering leaders across the globe 🌍 – that's what our new «Leadership Stack Core» is all about.

🚀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗱𝗻𝗼𝘃𝘂𝗺

Over the past seven months, 16 team leads across Switzerland, Portugal and Vietnam completed the pilot of our new leadership development program «Leadership Stack Core». The program is designed to align leadership understanding and help navigate people in a fast-moving tech environment.

Participants valued the mix of virtual learning, self-learning, and on-site modules, the open conversations and the practical tools they could apply right away.

🪂 Meet Martin Vögeli, Expert Software Architect at Adnovum Zurich and crosscountry paraglider.

1988 was a turning point in Martin’s life when he discovered paragliding after seeing a photo in a magazine of someone gliding freely through the sky – a sport introduced only three years earlier in Switzerland.

He was somewhat of an early adopter back then 😊: he was employee no. 10 at Adnovum, which today has grown to around 800 people, and member no. 14,342 of the Swiss hanggliding community, which now counts about 50,000 enthusiasts.

For him, paragliding is the perfect mix of hiking, discovering new landscapes, or seeing familiar ones from a whole new perspective: a bird’s-eye view 🦅. All of it while relaxing, having fun, and enjoying the adventure.

Here’s what’s common to both his job and hobby:
🚀 It all starts with solid research and planning before every takeoff, then adapting on the fly when things don't go quite as expected. Agile methods make it work.
💪 It's also all about managing risks and staying in control of your own fate and the project's destiny, true self-empowerment.
