Ideas rarely live inside one discipline.

A campaign begins with a sketch.
A product begins with a conversation.
A visual concept begins with curiosity.

Then the real work begins.

At Nonkonformer we built a multidisciplinary design studio where different creative worlds meet in one place. Strategy, design, fabrication, and production move together. This approach shapes how ideas evolve.

We work with private clients, artists, and companies. Each collaboration brings a different challenge and scale. Some ideas become campaigns. Others become objects, installations, or visual systems.

Inside the studio the process stays fluid.

One day we develop an advertisement campaign.
Another day we prototype a product.
Then we move into 3D printing, XL printing, graphics, or spatial visuals.

Concept and production stay connected from the first idea to the final piece.

Manufacturing defines feasibility.

When design and production live in the same ecosystem, experimentation moves faster. Ideas become prototypes. Prototypes become real objects. Concepts reach the physical world.

In our studio every project starts with a simple question. How do we turn this idea into something real?

We work closely with materials, machines, and processes. We observe, test, and refine. Sometimes a small technical decision changes the final result completely.

Our work focuses on turning ideas into real objects.
Graphic production, large format printing, and prototyping are part of this process.

We develop pieces for brands, installations, visual elements, and prototypes. Each project follows a clear path. Think, test, produce.

In September 2023, we presented a project at the Museum für Gestaltung during Zurich Design Week, exploring how AI can be used to develop a product and bring it into the physical world.

Now, in 2026, this is no longer seen as something extraordinary. But back then, it was a truly forward-thinking approach. At the time, there were very few projects bridging AI-driven creation with tangible production in this way.

This year, we are looking ahead again, focusing on how we create and how we bring every project to life. We also feel it’s important to share where we come from and what our process looks like.

Built from thousands of repeating elements, this surface was designed to play with light and depth, transforming static walls into sculptural systems. A glimpse of what could be, if design, data, and production work as one.

At Nonkonformer, we use tools like this to think ahead, to sketch in 3D, to model at scale, to question the limits of what can be made. This piece represents the kind of architectural and interior projects we’re looking to bring into reality: bold, tactile, and produced with digital precision.
