✉️ Happy Birthday, Email!

On October 29, 1969, UCLA sent the very first message through the ARPANET, the network that would evolve into today’s Internet. The message - just “LO” before the system crashed - marked the beginning of digital communication.

Two years later, in 1971, Ray Tomlinson sent the first network email, introducing the “@” symbol to connect users and machines. It was a simple innovation that changed how the world communicates - forever.

From that small “LO” to today’s rich omnichannel messaging, communication technology has come a long way.
