Volume control is part of the signal path.

The L10 uses a proprietary current-domain R-2R ladder volume control, operating fully in the analog domain with precise 0.5 dB steps across a 141 dB control range.

Level changes remain exact.

Low-level detail is preserved.

Music retains its structure, nuance, and dynamic life.

Roy Gregory’s review of the CH Precision C10 DAC is now live at GY8.

Following the C10 through its expandable architecture—from Reference to Statement and ultimately Statement Mono—Gregory finds that each step brings not just greater resolution, but greater musical coherence, flow, and communication.

His conclusion is unequivocal:

“The C10/2 to C10/4 is a big step. Musically speaking, the C10/4 to C10/5 is bigger.”

And, comparing the D10/C10 directly with his long-standing digital reference:

“That standard has just been matched and in some areas surpassed by the D10/C10.”

A line preamplifier sits at the center of the system.

Every source passes through it.

The L10 is built around a fully discrete, fully balanced analog architecture with ultra-short signal paths and complete separation between control and audio circuitry.

CH Precision is pleased to share Hifi Studio Wilbert’s participation in the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht — Hifi Sessions 2026.

From August 29 through September 5, Wilbert will open its listening rooms in Utrecht for a series of intimate conversations and listening sessions devoted to interpretation, recording quality, and the experience of music through carefully assembled high-end audio systems.

The connection feels natural. Early music and high-end audio both depend on nuance, timing, texture, space, and emotional truth.

The Architecture of Vinyl Accuracy: Part 4

Most phono preamplifiers operate in voltage mode.

For low-impedance moving-coil cartridges, the P10 offers current-sensing inputs that operate into a virtual ground below 100mΩ.

Instead of forcing the cartridge through conventional MC loading, the P10 responds directly to the current generated by the moving coil.
