📸 Using Images on Your Website: What Really Matters

Many people find your website for the first time through an image search — maybe a photo of a fruit tart, a yoga pose, or in my case… some beautiful coques (cockles) from Poiscaille 🐚

I took this photo myself — just with my phone — but the shells were so naturally beautiful that the image still tells a story: sustainable, seasonal, and delicious.

That’s what images should do for your website — add context and connection.

Here’s what to keep in mind:
✨ Use high-quality images. Sharp, well-lit photos make users trust your site.

✨ Last night, I stepped out from behind my laptop, and into a room full of entrepreneurs.

It reminded me how important face-to-face contact is.

I enjoyed the chance to learn about local businesses, and how they made their journey to their current stage of growth.
To hear other perspectives, join in the conversation, and share my own story.

The location was perfect for me as an art lover – the CRAC (Centre Rhénan d’Art Contemporain) – the current theme inspired by the nearby river, the Ill.

Thank you for this opportunity to meet and learn more about the local business landscape that I am a part of – I look forward to connecting with more like-minded entrepreneurs in the future !

🍇🥂 Un de mes petits rituels d’automne préférés : un verre de vin bourru.

Ce vin jeune, légèrement pétillant et sucré, c’est l’automne dans un verre. Je l’ai découvert pour la première fois en Allemagne (où on l’appelle Federweisser) et depuis, la première gorgée marque toujours le début de la saison pour moi. 🍂

There’s a Japanese concept called wabi-sabi (侘寂) - it’s the art of finding beauty in things that are imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. 🌿

It reminds me that business (and life) isn’t about flawless ex*****on - it’s about the process, the humanity, the showing up. 💛

And that’s where the beauty is.
