Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic bank, has successfully completed the end-to-end migration of its payments business to BPC’s SmartVista platform, strengthening the scalability, reliability, and security of its payments infrastructure.
The modernised platform supports the Bank’s card portfolio, merchant acquiring across POS, e-commerce and QR, payment gateway services, fraud management and instant payments.
The successful transition establishes a unified and scalable payments foundation for Meezan Bank, supporting high-volume processing and the continued expansion of secure digital payment services across Pakistan.

On 9 October, BPC and FinCrimeExpert co-organised Fraud Management Deep Dive 2026 in Mumbai, with EY as knowledge partner, welcoming banking and financial crime professionals for discussions on strengthening fraud prevention.

The event brought industry experts together to explore how artificial intelligence, data and innovative technology can help financial institutions respond to evolving fraud threats.

We were honoured to welcome keynote speakers Puspamitra Sahu, Chief General Manager, Department of Supervision at the Reserve Bank of India, and Devraj Sanyal, Chief AI and Data Science at the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub.

Representing BPC were Jimmy Karanjia, India and Bangladesh Sales Head and Head of Digital and POS Business, APAC; Maxim Kuzin, Head of Fraud Prevention and Risk; and Mikhail Shtyrkin, Senior Business Development Manager and Presales Manager, bringing expertise in payments, fraud prevention and SmartVista Fraud Management.

The panel discussion on using AI, data and innovative technology to counter fraud featured Vikram Babbar from EY, Arun Pandey from SBI, Drupad Shah from IndusInd Bank, Kalpesh Dalvi from DBS Bank and Neeraj Rana from IDFC FIRST Bank.

Today, BPC is at the DIGI PAY Conference, in Sofia, Bulgaria. The conference focuses on the next stage of digital payments and financial services in Bulgaria, from AI and payment innovation to digital identity, new digital wallets, fraud prevention and security.

On 1 October, BPC and the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA) co-organised SmartVista Day Vietnam: Shaping Vietnam’s Secure Digital Banking Future in Hanoi.

The event brought together around 100 banking and payments leaders to explore Vietnam’s next banking era, the evolving fraud landscape, modern fraud-management strategies and merchant modernisation.

Nguyen Thanh Son, Head of Training and International Relations at VNBA, opened the event and set the stage for the day’s discussions.

Imran Vilcassim explored how partnerships can help build smarter banks, connected ecosystems and new digital value, while Jonathan Bautista presented a modern fraud-management playbook for today’s banking environment.

The discussion was further enriched by Ha Hai Quang, Risk Consulting Director at KPMG Vietnam, who shared insights into the latest fraud trends worldwide and in Vietnam.

We were also honoured to welcome Nguyen Thi B**h Hang from PVcomBank, who reflected on the success of the bank’s 10-year partnership with BPC.

On 23 September, BPC and GIS hosted SmartVista Day 2026 in Jakarta, bringing together banking and payments professionals for a focused discussion on real-time fraud defence.

BPC’s Jonathan Bautista, APAC Regional Solution Director, led sessions exploring modern fraud prevention strategies, mule accounts, QRIS fraud, account takeover and identity fraud.

The programme was further enriched by perspectives from PPATK, Jalin and Meezan Bank Pakistan, connecting regulatory insight with real-world fraud challenges and customer experiences.
