Hello all,
Today marks the end of a dream. When I opened this company, I had the vision of about 50% - 75% of all profits going into the nonprofit I also founded named “Thriving Hearts Foundation”. This for-profit company was meant to allow Thriving Hearts Foundation to not be heavily reliant and hopefully not reliant at all on outside help like government grants. These government grants meant to help communities don’t always go to the organizations helping our communities, but they go into the pockets of big-name companies that should not be receiving these grants because they are not using the funds to help our communities. The non-profit exists to help single parents and members of the community to get out of the cycle of poverty mainly through education and gainful employment. However, unfortunately, even with all the hype, likes, follows, and visits to our online store, we have received no sales to sustain this company. After several months of diverting all the funds I had, the funds have run out. So, I will be closing this store and having to rely on grants that are almost impossible to receive and have so many stipulations and requirements that those who need the help are often not able to receive help.
