Pourquoi T4H - Technology for Humanity a choisit la RDC ?
L'Afrique centre du Monde, abritant plus d'un tiers de la jeunesse mondiale, la République Démocratique du Congo est le deuxième pays le plus grand et le troisième le plus peuplé du continent. Fort de ses 105 044 646 d'habitants (2021) il était évident pour T4H de commencer par ce pays d’Afrique Centrale qui met aussi en valeur la francophonie.

Dear T4H followers, Dear impact’ors,

We are aware that speech is precious and that silence can be beneficial. If we have not been present for a while, it was for a good reason: T4H has now moved from the experimentation phase of its impact model both in Europe and Africa, to its large-scale implementation around two axes:

1- Capacity building based on a strong infrastructure component: The idea is to allow people with moderate incomes to settle in "smart and convenient" living areas composed of affordable housing associated with proximity services such as a medical center, a sports center, training institutes and a start-up incubator.
2- By providing easy access in 3 clicks to essential services such as healthcare, education, inclusive financial services, access to affordable housing... thanks to the C-Phone: the first global citizen smartphone connected to all our "smart" living areas.

We wanted to inform you of our commitment to the field, not out of pretense, but because it matters to you. We are a mission-driven company from the UK, and we seek in every way possible to expand our ecosystem with talents, associations, NGOs, international organizations and actors from the private sector, as well as those from the public sphere, all motivated by a more inclusive growth.

We have much to share with you.

Let's start with Africa, the center of the world. A continent full of potential and home to more than a third of the world's youth. We are in the process of setting up a capacity building program in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works of the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) in the framework of the next French Speaking Games which will take place in Kinshasa at the end of July 2023.
For this purpose, we have designed a two-step impact program:

1-Today, rehabilitation of stadiums with our French partner GREGORI INTERNATIONAL and construction of infrastructures with our Chinese partner SFECO to serve the French Speaking Games in DRC. Thus, T4H, using several modular technologies, has imagined an athletes' city: accommodation, health center, restaurant, media center, technical center and training halls.
2-After the French Speaking Games, implementation of a vast legacy program co-financed by T4H, capitalizing on the infrastructures of the games in order to transform part of these infrastructures into "intelligent" living areas. In fine, contribute to reduce the economic and social vulnerability, amplify the middle class while contributing to make the DRC a best demonstrated practice in sustainable development. Thus, T4H brings its support to the resilience plan of the largest French-speaking country in the world, according to the objectives of the DRC and through the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Nous sommes conscients que la parole est précieuse et que le silence peut être bénéfique. Si nous n’avons pas été présents depuis un moment, c’était pour la bonne cause : T4H est maintenant passé de la phase d’expérimentation de son modèle d’impact tant en Europe qu’en Afrique, à celle de son implémentation à grande échelle autour de deux axes :

1. En renforçant des capacités à partir d’un solide volet infrastructure : L’idée étant de permettre aux personnes à revenu modéré de s’installer dans des bassins de vie ‘’intelligents et pratiques’’ composés de logements à coûts modérés associés à des services de proximité comme un centre médical, un centre sportif, des instituts de formations et un incubateur de start-up notamment.

2. En permettant l'accès facile en 3 clics aux services essentiels tels que les soins de santé, l'éducation, les services financiers inclusifs, l’accès au logement… grâce au C-Phone : le premier smartphone citoyen globale connecté à tous nos bassins de vie "intelligents".

Nous voulions vous informer de notre engagement sur le terrain, non par prétention, mais parce que c'est important pour vous. Nous sommes une entreprise à mission d’origine anglaise, et nous cherchons par tous les moyens possibles à élargir notre écosystème avec des talents, des associations, des ONG, des organisations internationales et des acteurs du secteur privé, tout comme ceux de la sphère publique, tous motivés par une croissance plus inclusive.

Nous avons beaucoup de choses à partager avec vous.

Commençons par l'Afrique, le centre du monde. Un continent plein de potentiels et qui abrite plus d'un tiers de la jeunesse mondiale. Nous sommes en train de mettre en place un programme de renforcement des capacités en collaboration avec le Ministère des Infrastructures et des Travaux Publics de la RDC (République Démocratique du Congo) dans le cadre des prochains Jeux de la Francophonie qui auront lieux à Kinshasa fin juillet 2023.

Pour cela nous avons imaginé un programme d’impact en deux temps :

1. Aujourd’hui, réhabilitation de stades avec notre partenaire français GREGORI INTERNATIONAL et construction d’infrastructures avec notre partenaire Chinois SFECO pour servir les Jeux de la Francophonie en RDC. Ainsi, T4H en utilisant plusieurs technologies modulaires a imaginé une cité des athlètes : hébergements, centre de santé, restaurant, centre media, centre technique et halls d’entraînement.

2. Après les Jeux de la Francophonie, mise en place d’un vaste programme héritage co-financé par T4H, capitalisant les infrastructures des jeux afin de transformer une partie de ces infrastructures en bassin de vie ‘’intelligents’’. In fine contribuer à réduire la vulnérabilité économique et sociale, amplifier la classe moyenne tout en contribuant à faire de la RDC un pays réfèrent en matière de développement durable. Ainsi, T4H apporte son soutien au plan de résilience du plus grand pays francophone du monde, selon les objectifs de la RDC et aux travers des Objectifs de Développement Durable des Nations Unis.

The Ile de France region, in partnership with Pôle Emploi, is launching the C-TAB® digital tablet, the first digital inclusion program developed by the T4H, intended for 10,000 job seekers in the Paris region at first, in the current context of social distancing linked to the pandemic.

The C-TAB®, given as a free of charge loan to each jobseeker who is eligible for training, increases their chances of returning to work, through the access in just a few clicks, to adapted and pre-installed content as well as to key services developed by Pôle Emploi.

C-TAB® helps reduce the digital divide which job seekers are often the victims of, by equipping them with a very good quality tablet, thus allowing them to benefit from a good level of connectivity during their training programme.

For T4H and its French subsidiary, C-TAB® is the first step in a broad nationwide rollout plan to tackle unemployment.
Christian MASSOJI, CEO of T4H Mobile, a subsidiary of the T4H Group, indicates that the group will launch a major innovation within a few weeks: the first citizen smartphone intended for vulnerable populations, with a first focus on job seekers.
