🚀 FAIR and Patchstack are teaming up at the first-ever CloudFest USA Hackathon!

On November 4 in Miami, developers, security experts, and hosting companies will come together to build the FAIR Software Security Assistant — a new open-source tool designed to make software safer and easier to manage.

💡 The Assistant will:

Track where software comes from ✅

Check for known security risks 🔐

Automatically enforce safety rules ⚙️

The hackathon will be led by:

Carrie Dils – FAIR project co-chair

Brent Toderash – Project Manager at Modern Earth/ 100% Webhost/ AspirePress

Elliot Taylor – Head of Engineering at Patchstack

With guidance from Alain Schlesser, Principal Architect at Yoast.

Think of it like a smart security assistant for software: FAIR ensures the software is trusted, and Patchstack makes sure it’s safe to use.

The MVP will be revealed on the CloudFest main stage on November 5, with ongoing improvements planned after the event.
