If anyone is interested.

we have a 4th gen Lenovo Tiny Thjinkcentre M73.

I just did a clean install of Windows 10 on it. If you want to force Windows 11 you will need a key.

This unit has WiFi, HDMI, 8GB of RAM, 250GB SSD and a 4th gen i5. Lots of USB ports.

This unit is working perfectly, but it has no power adapter. We are not going to purchase one because we are not sure it will be sold, but the power adapters are only about $40, and we will sell this Tiny PC for just $100.

With an HDMI port, it would make an excellent media PC connected to a TV to run Kodi, Netflix, Prime or any other streaming service. It will play video fine and audio as well.

If you are interested, drop by. If you want it, pay for it and an adapter and we will order if for you, or you can order one direct from Amazon.

Today we have a single PC deal. It was the only one we could get.
This is a refurbished Lenovo Neo5-M50S desktop PC, with a reclaimed Viewsonic 22" monitor, keyboard and mouse, with Windows 11 Professional, all cables included, for just $599.00 + Tax.

This little refurbished PC is in excellent condition.

16GB of RAM, Intel i5 12400 CPU (12th gen, so pretty new), 250GB NVMe drive, 6 USB 3.1 ports, optical drive, front USB-C, LAN Network jack, Mic and Headphone jack, rear audio out, VGA, HDMI and DP video outputs, Intel UHD Graphics 730.

This is a complete PC system for just $599. Note, if you need WiFi, we have WiFi USB dongles for about $25.

Only one available.

Just a reminder for all our neighbours.

We are a FedEx Pickup and Dropoff location.

This means, if you have your label attached and your box packed and taped, you can drop it off here for FedEx to pick up.

If you were not home when a FedEx driver tried to deliver your package, he may leave a door tag behind and drop you package off here. The door tag will tell you at what address your package may be picked up.

Lastly, if you need to order something and you know you won't be home when it is delivered, you can request it come here and you can pick it up here. Just remember to bring the tracking number with your photo ID since the package will have our address on it.

I think that, with the postal strike carrying on, FedEx may be very busy this Xmas.

Just another note. Microsoft is now encrypting everything. Windows Home and Windows Professional.

If you are using a Microsoft account, personally I would advise against using encryption. The reason is, your Microsoft account holds the key for the encryption, and if, for any reason, you loose access to that account you will lose those encryption keys.

This is not a major problem unless you also have an issue logging into you PC. If you can't log into your PC because you forgot you password, or there is a fault with your computer, you could lose everything. If you did not set up your Microsoft account correctly, or you used what is now an out-dated email address or verification phone number, and you loose access, Microsoft may not give you your account back if you can't prove it's yours.

If this happens, normally I could remove your storage drive and copy all your data to recover it, but if the drive is encrypted I may not be able to recover anything without the encryption key.

Microsoft does not ask your permission before encrypting on a new computer.

If you are using a Microsoft account, I would recommend you go into Privacy in the Settings and find the Bitlocker encryption settings, and shut Bitlocker off. This will prevent you ever losing you data unless there is a physical defect in your storage drive.

This is my advice. Some people who work for corporations may need encryption for their work, or if you are going out of country and need encryption then that's fine, but for your home PC it's not needed at all and poses more risk than any security gains you might get from it. Most businesses also don't need it with the exceptions I mentioned above.

You can check if bitlocker is being use by looking at the icon for your C: drive in This PC. If it shows a small paddlelock, you are encrypted.

Hey everyone.
Wow, almost mid November and no snow. Just wow.

So I wanted to post some PCs we have in. These particular ones are refurbished "Tiny" Lenovo PCs. They are so small, with an optional bracket, they can be mounted to the back of any monitor that has VESA mounting threads in the back. That is, four threaded holes about 75 to 100mm apart. These are usually used for mounting a monitor to a wall or a desk arm, but they can also be used to secure the bracket to the back of the monitor to mount the pc. This way, you only have cables in the back, and if you use a wireless keyboard and mouse, the only cables you would need is the power cable and a cable going to your monitor. And, a USB cable if you are using a printer but, of course, if it's a wireless printer that eliminates that USB cable as well. So, three cables total, one for monitor power, one for PC power, once to connect the PC to the monitor.

We have three with a Ryzen 5, 16GB of RAM and a 250GB M.2 NVMe SSD, and two with a Ryzen 3, 16GB of RAM, and a 250GB M.2 NVMe SSD.

All units have Windows 11 Professional, WiFi and Bluetooth. Two USB ports front (one is USB-C) and four or more in the rear. They have at least one DP video port and an HDMI video port. Some have additional DP added. Note they have no Audio Out in the back, but both DP and HDMI carry audio to a monitor. There is a microphone and headset jack on the front.

All come with WiFi antennas and power supplies.

The Ryzen 3 units are $349, and the Ryzen 5 units are $399.

They do not come with a keyboard or mouse. We have used K&M that I have cleaned, and we have new as well.

Windows 11
October 2025
We're ready.
Are you?

09/10/2025

Hey everyone!
Happy September!! Winter is almost here!

I hate to remind you, but that nasty old Windows 10 deadline is next month. October 2015.

We have Windows 11 desktops, and laptops in stock, all refurbished, nice and fast and at good priced. We have Dell USFF PCs and Lenovo Mini PCs running AMD CPUs, and Dell laptops, 14" and 15". The laptops are gen 10 and gen 11. The desktops are Gen 9. All have 16GB of RAM and a 250GB (Class) SSD (NVMe drive).
All are ready to go and set up like a new PC, or if you prefer for a fee we can transfer all your documents, and set up your account. You have a choice of a Microsoft Account or a Local Account as long as you don't purchase a computer with Windows Home.

All the PCs we have here are using Windows 11 Pro, so we can set them up with either a local account like you have always been using, or a Microsoft account if you prefer everything to be tied in with Microsoft.

With a local account, you don't even need a password if you prefer not to use one. Windows will boot direct to the desktop.

We're open 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Now for a little news.

The big Windows 11 migration is coming up. Windows 10 will no longer be supported after October 2025.
This means all security update will stop.
Does mean you are not secure? Not really. Windows 10 has plenty of security. If Defender stops working, you can go with those old anti-virus programs. If they stop updating Defender, that would be a huge mistake.
I hope they will not be sending full ads to PCs telling you to dump your PC and buy one with Windows 11 or upgrade if your PC is supported.
Note, there is a lawsuit over this exact situation going on the the USA right now, so things may change.

In any case, we got you covered.

We have 8th gen refurbished laptops from Dell, 14", Windows11, 15GB of RAM, 250GB SSD. There are business class laptops and run from $499 and up.

We have some older laptops as well, and they can be force fed Windows 11 if you desire.

We also have some Dell small form factor computers with 9th gen Intel i5 CPUs, 250GB SSD and 16GB of RAM, Windows 11 installed.

And lastly we have some mini (Tiny) PCs here with Ryzen 3 CPUs, 16GB of RAM and a 250GB SSED. There are tiny little computers but still have all the ports you need including HDMI and two Display Port for multi monitors if you desire. These units are going for $349.

File transfers less then about 10GB are free, anything above 10GB is $25 to $80 depending on how long it takes to transfer.

As for your old PC? You can still use it, but what will happen is as you are updating other software, more and more of it will come up with messages saying they are no longer supporting Windows 10. Until that happens you should be OK.

Hi Everyone!!
Hope you all had a great summer.

I have a little news, and a warning. First the warning.
A client brought in her Windows 11 laptop. She was locked out.
When I booted the laptop, all I get is a Bitlocker screen insisting I enter an encryption key.

Bitlocker is the name of Microsoft's encryption program, and it will encrypt your hard drive (system drive) without even telling you it's doing it. Normally this will only happen if you are using a Windows Home PC with a Microsoft account. Unfortunately, this is the way Microsoft forces you to set up every new computer that comes with Windows Home. They don't ask your permission, they just do it.

Now in this case, the lady says everything was fine, she did a Windows 11 update, and when the computer rebooted, the bitlocker screen came up and she was locked out. Normally, I would gust log into the client's Microsoft account and get their key, log into the computer and then remove the encryption on the drive using Bitlocker. This would prevent it from happening again.

When I logged into her Microsoft account it told me the account contains no keys. There are only two ways this could be true. Either it's the wrong account (which is unlikely since it uses her email address), or the computer was never encrypted until Microsoft did this update.
It looks to me like Microsoft encrypted her drive without her permission, did not provide her a key, and now all her data is lost. The only saving grace here is IF she was using the One Drive, she can log back into it and recover whatever files are contained therein.

This is a direct result of Microsoft getting away with things no one else could. From forcing you to have a microsoft account that is tied to your computer, to encrypting your drive without asking your permission. If you or I did this, we would end up in jail.

So feel free to pass this comment around. The more people understand what Microsoft is doing to them and their computers the better.
