Last question in this series! Does perfectionism stop you from posting? Worrying it’s not polished enough, or that people will judge it?

We’ve all been there. Is it the fear of what people will think? Or is it more about not feeling “ready” to hit post? I think this is the biggest reason people dont post. I want to help! So answer honestly or send me a dm if thats easier.

Question 3, and this one’s a big one. Does the tech hold you back from posting? The apps keep changing, AI is everywhere, the algorithm feels impossible to predict... is that what’s making you freeze?

Is it not knowing Instagram itself (reels, scheduling, all of it), or is it the software you’d need to actually make the content? Canva overwhelm is very real. Tell me where you’re getting stuck.

okay, hot take time...

I know AI “design” tools seem free & fast. I get why people use them! But here’s the thing, they are not actually free, and they are definitely not yours (you likely don’t even own the copyright on a fully AI generated image).

Swipe through for why I think an AI logo or flyer is costing small businesses more than it’s saving, and why I will personally not go to your event if the flyer looks AI made. Sorry! Small businesses supporting small businesses means something to me, and that includes supporting real designers. (Or make it yourself if you have to! I’d rather support an event or business with bad design than ai design.)

I am not 100% anti AI, I use it in my own workflow too! (like organizing my projects and proof reading, etc.) There’s a big difference between using it as a tool and using it to replace strategy, story, and someone who actually knows your business.

Here’s a peek at everything I do as a graphic designer, and spoiler: it’s a lot more than just logos. 😄

I’ve been doing this (and loving it) for 20+ years & my favourite clients are small business owners who are out here doing the thing, building something they’re proud of, and finally ready to make their brand look as good as what they’re actually selling (without relying on sloppy AI designs!)

I get it, design feels like a luxury when you’re watching every dollar. That’s exactly why I have small business rates for solo business owners who are ready to invest in growth but working with a real-world budget.

OK I genuinely was not expecting this when I opened my website dashboard this week... 👀

ok I’m a little obsessed with how this one turned out 🌸

I had the honour of design the branding for and honestly?? Flower Farm logos might be my new favourite thing. There’s something so satisfying about creating branding that feels like the business it represents.

Karen knew exactly what she wanted & trusted me to run with it, which is literally a designer’s dream. The result is something that feels rooted, beautiful, and ready to grow right alongside their business!
