๐ŸŒž Embracing Summer Ease in Postpartum ๐ŸŒธ

If you live in the True North (Canada) like me, you know wintertime can be challenging for a variety of reasons. Icy sidewalks, dressing the baby in the correct clothes/layers to go out, super short days, vitamin D usually going down.

And you also know how happy we get when the snow disappears letting spring and then summer take place.

So.... Can the postpartum period be easier in the summertime? YES!

Summertime + postpartum = a winning combo!

โ˜€๏ธ Here's why:

1๏ธโƒฃ Longer days = brighter moods
2๏ธโƒฃ Outdoor escapades = soothing vibes
3๏ธโƒฃ Comfortable summer wardrobe
4๏ธโƒฃ Nourishing seasonal produce
5๏ธโƒฃ More bonding opportunities with loved ones

Let me know in the comments if you will have or you already have a summer baby ๐Ÿ’–

Remember, every postpartum journey is unique. Embrace the warmth of the season, cherish the moments, and let summer breeze through this precious chapter of life.

๐Ÿฆ‹ ๐Ÿ’ญQuality time x quantity time

I know we want to believe sometimes that the quality time we spend with our kids is enough to get to know them, and to get know how to deal with the million demands they have.

But I would risk saying that there are so much missing if we donโ€™t realize quantity time is essential most of the times to really get to know them. Kids usually donโ€™t show clearly what they need right away (talking about deep feelings) they have their time..

I woke up questioning myself if Iโ€™m always ready to invest my time (the time I have) getting to know them, on their time, in the way they want to show themselves to me.

Iโ€™m not saying you are doing something wrong if you donโ€™t do that, or trying to put in a place of โ€œfeeling of missing outโ€ but I believe parents need to always question themselves to be able to be better as parents too.

Parenting is usually โ€œhardโ€ if you are thinking intentionally about how to be a better parent for your kids.

If you read until here, thank you. We are together on this journey of non-stop learning.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Embracing the Final Stretch

Here's a glimpse into the challenges and joys that await you in these precious weeks.

๐Ÿ˜… Growing Discomfort: you might feel the weight of your bump. It can lead to backaches, swollen feet, and general discomfort. Hang in there, mama!

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Shortness of Breath: As your uterus expands, it puts pressure on your diaphragm, making breathing feel a little more challenging. Take it slow and practice deep breathing exercises.

๐Ÿ‘ฃ Frequent Trips to the Bathroom: Your growing baby is pressing on your bladder, making bathroom breaks a frequent occurrence.

Joys ๐Ÿฅฐ:

๐ŸŒŸ Nesting Instincts: You'll find yourself nesting, preparing the nursery, and awaiting your little one's arrival.

๐Ÿ“ธ Capturing Memories: Take maternity photos to cherish these beautiful moments forever.

๐Ÿ˜ด Sleep Struggles: Finding a comfortable sleeping position can be a challenge as your belly expands. Pillows and relaxation techniques might come to the rescue.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Hormonal Changes: You might still experience some hormonal shifts, but hopefully, the roller coaster ride starts to even out.

Joys ๐ŸŒŸ:
