Great advice from Bridal Talk - The Wedding Guide

Don't invite someone to an engagement party or bridal shower, or any pre-wedding celebration, if you don't intend to invite them to the wedding. It's just not done.

Your bridal shower is a traditional celebration that allows friends and family to show their affection and 'shower' the bride with gifts.
One rule is that the immediate family members (mothers, sisters, mothers-in-law) should not host showers because it appears the family is soliciting gifts.

Technology continues to impact weddings in ways that your mama never dreamed about.

Websites, Instagram and pages connect couples to their guests and vendors in a way that wasn’t imaginable years ago. We just hope that the wedding invitation never goes away; they’re commemorative, sentimental and tactile, setting the stage for the look and feel of the entire day.

It’s too easy for your guests to lose them in their email boxes and RSVP can be a virtual nightmare when you have a large guest count. You can always use Evites for your Save the Date or a Bridal Shower invitation; it’s a lot easier to manage with less invited guests.

Your wedding hashtag is also a great way to broadcast your upcoming marriage and keep everyone on track and involved for the big day.

Wedding Tip of the Day,
Invitation language can often be complicated.
Did you know that the words 'request the honour of your presence' are only used if the ceremony is in a place of worship?
If the ceremony is held anywhere else, the wording is
'request the pleasure of your company'.
