Had the pleasure of meeting with the Director of Information & Cybersecurity, Laith Al-Faraj, MSc , CISM, CRISC, and Senior Associate, Nawaf AbuHassan, respectively, at Bank al Etihad during our visit to the beautiful city of Amman, Jordan.
From the moment we sat down, the conversation felt familiar and genuine; discovering shared memories of our younger years spent in South Wales. That connection set the tone for an open and meaningful discussion on cybersecurity maturity, operational resilience, and the evolving threat landscape across the region.
What stood out most was how seriously Laith and his team take cybersecurity and data protection. Their commitment reflects exactly the kind of standard we want to see adopted across the GCC region, where strong security governance is essential for safeguarding organizations and the clients they serve.
