Mountain Sound is currently looking for Home Audio-Visual Technicians for work within the Sea to Sky Corridor (Pemberton, Whistler, Squamish and Vancouver Areas).
This position is available immediately, Wages start at $30/hour plus medical benefits, based on experience.

Minimum of 1 Year of Skills & Experience in the following areas is required:

• Home automation and control, using products such as Control4, Lutron, and URC
• Audio & Visual Distribution,
• Pre-wire and infrastructure
• Being adaptable and quickly adjusting to customer needs
• Strong focus on customer service and exceeding expectations
• Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished homes and corporate offices
• Valid BC Driver’s License and clean abstract
• Personal hand tools are required, power tools are recommended
• Low voltage experience and knowledge of BC Electrical Code is essential

Responsibilities

• Servicing cabling infrastructure, audio/visual devices including pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting, and labeling per specifications and drawings
• Installation of audio/visual equipment including TV installations, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, control systems
• Organize and maintain efficiency with onsite activities and goals,
• Build racks and implement strong cable management practices
• Read and interpret system diagrams and construction drawings assigned to the project
• Ensure safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
• Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation, including time sheets and work orders
• Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities

Our primary focus is on design, installation, and maintenance of complex AV solutions for our clients. As a Senior AV Technician with Mountain Sound, you will be working alongside our Project Manager and will be responsible for, understanding, analyzing, and implementing installation plans. You will also be responsible for training and supervising junior Technicians. This position requires the ability and technical knowledge to complete installations, understand the bill of materials, and be capable of adjusting to meet client satisfaction.
Ideal candidates will represent Mountain Sound in a professional, courteous and knowledgeable manner that aligns with our company values. A typical day could see you working on a variety of commercial and residential installations.

Mountain Sound is looking for AV Technicians/Installers to fill Part Time or Full Time positions with flexible hours available now.
We are a well-established local AV company based in Whistler, with over 30 years of experience in the Sea to Sky Corridor! We are looking for persons who are organized, energetic and have a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Persons with experience in Electrical, IT, Audio Visual, Home Automation, and knowledge of basic construction are highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with the right skill-set.
Must have basic hand tools, power tools such as drills and drill bits are also recommended, but can be provided on site.
Most of the work will be based in Whistler, but you must be willing to travel. Having your own transportation to and from work and a valid BC driver’s license in good standing is a must, as you may be required to drive a company vehicle to and from sites. We can provide transportation for applicants living in either Whistler or Squamish
Your duties as an AV technician will consist of rough-in wiring on active construction sites and installing AV equipment like TVs, Speakers, Network Equipment and Audiovisual and Automation technology. May be required to have steel toe boots and safety gear only when working on active constructions sites, but clean presentable daily wear is expected. You may occasionally be required to interact directly with clients, so you must be courteous and professional on work sites, and follow company standards at all times.
The hourly rate starts at $25/hr and up depending on the skill level and qualifications. Company Benefits such as Medical and Dental coverage are available for Full Time positions, but are negotiable for Part Time positions.

Our primary focus is on design, installation, and maintenance of complex AV solutions for our clients. As a Junior AV Technician with Mountain Sound, you will be working alongside our Senior AV Technician and will be responsible for assisting the installation plans of AV infrastructure and equipment. This position requires interest to learn and develop new skills related to the Audio-Visual Field which includes completing installations and understanding the bill of materials.
Ideal candidates will represent Mountain Sound in a professional, courteous and knowledgeable manner that aligns with our company values. A typical day could see you working on a variety of commercial and residential installations.

Minimum Skills & Experience in the following areas is required:
Home automation and control
Audio & Visual Distribution,
Pre-wire and infrastructure
