We’re excited to officially announce our new partnership with Hall Telecommunications.

Together, we’re helping bring a more human approach to connection and care across Canada — one that prioritizes reassurance, dignity, independence, and meaningful connection in-between visits.

As caregiving pressures continue to grow, families and providers are looking for solutions that feel simple, supportive, and easy to use.

We’re excited for what’s ahead together.

Caregiver Truth #5.

75% of care in Canada is provided by unpaid caregivers. The Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence estimates caregiver burnout costs the Canadian economy $9.7 billion each year.

Behind that number are real people carrying a tremendous amount, often quietly.

That means millions of family members are balancing caregiving alongside work, parenting, and everyday life.

More than 8 million Canadians are now caregivers.

A new report from the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence reveals the growing emotional, financial, and mental impact caregiving is having on families across the country. The report also estimates that caregivers contribute $97.1 billion in unpaid care annually — a reflection of the enormous role families play in supporting loved ones across Canada.

In our latest blog, we reflect on what these numbers mean for caregivers, families, and the future of aging in Canada.

Today, more than 8 million Canadians are caregivers. The report states that 1 in 4 Canadians are currently providing care, and at least half of Canadians will become caregivers at some point in their lives.

Paige started with a son trying to stay connected to his mom.

Peter Kirkpatrick’s 90 year old mother, Helen, was living in assisted care and struggling with technology. Even using the phone became confusing.

So Peter created a simple button she could press to instantly reach him.

That small idea became the inspiration for Paige.

Because staying connected shouldn’t become harder with age.

This one is personal for Fraser.

His 97 year old relative, Nanny Pat, lives in long-term care with dementia. With family spread across the country and around the world, staying connected became harder when traditional technology stopped working.

Phones didn’t help.
Other devices became confusing.
But Paige changed that.

As Fraser says, “it’s bringing that family engagement to her” during a phase of life that can feel incredibly lonely.

May is Caregiver Awareness Month.
