LCR-Reader

LCR-Reader LCR-Readers provide LCR/ESR, Voltage, Frequency measurements, LED/Diode testing and Oscilloscope.

LCR-Reader is a handheld LCR and ESR meter in a lightweight device. When the gold plated tweezers are in contact with a surface mount device, LCR-Reader will automatically determine the type of component and best test range before measuring with a basic accuracy of 0.5%. The LCR-Reader saves time while working with SMT because it requires no set-up between measurements. When needed, the measuremen

t mode can be selected manually with just a press of the navigation button. All measurement values, including the measurement mode, type of component, any secondary values such as an ESR value, and test measurement range are instantly available on the OLED display. Features on LCR-Reader include:
-Automatic and manual L, C, R and ESR measurements
-Basic accuracy of 0.5%
-Automatic best range selection
-1 oz. weight
-Hard-shelled carrying case
-Li-Ion battery with micro-USB charging

Siborg is now offering NIST Traceable Calibration Certificates when you order from the LCR-Reader Store! Please note that the device and the calibration certificate must be ordered together.

If you’re logging LCR measurements for production QC or faster troubleshooting, Bluetooth basics are the difference between “data collected” and “data you can trust.” This guide breaks down how Bluetooth-enabled LCR meters handle measurement capture, what to verify for reliable records, and the practical settings that keep resistance, capacitance, inductance, and ESR readings consistent. With an engineering-first approach, you’ll understand the workflow and measurement details that prevent mix-ups and reduce rework. It’s the kind of technical clarity you need before you commit your test data to analysis and decisions.

Picking the right tool for component ID can make or break a repair—especially with SMT parts. This breakdown, “Smart Tweezers vs Multimeter,” walks through where each instrument excels for resistance, capacitance, inductance, and ESR, and what tradeoffs you’ll actually feel at the bench or in the field. If you’re tired of wrestling setups or waiting on menu-heavy workflows, you’ll want the specs and use-cases side-by-side to choose with confidence. It’s an engineering-first guide built to cut troubleshooting time and prevent mix-ups.

Choosing the right LCR meter isn’t about specs on a box—it’s about the measurements you need and the way the instrument handles them in real work. In this guide, we break down how to match measurement ranges, test frequencies, and accuracy to your components, whether you’re troubleshooting SMT boards or running incoming quality checks. You’ll also learn what to look for in practical features like stable readings and dependable performance so you can avoid rework and component mix-ups. If you want confidence in resistance, capacitance, inductance, and ESR results, this is the checklist to use before you buy.

When a motherboard won’t power or a rail keeps dropping, ESR measurements often tell the truth before you start swapping parts. This guide breaks down the best ESR meter options for motherboard repair, focusing on accuracy you can trust, practical test features for troubleshooting caps, and specs that matter when you’re working fast at the bench. If you want to cut down diagnosis time and avoid component mix-ups, the right ESR meter makes the process repeatable and confident.

Picking the right LCR meter can make or break your repair workflow—wrong specs mean wrong diagnoses. In this guide, we break down what actually matters when you’re measuring resistance, capacitance, inductance, and ESR on real boards, including accuracy, frequency behavior, range coverage, and practical usability for SMD work. You’ll learn how to choose a tool that prevents component mix-ups and cuts troubleshooting time, whether you need fast field measurements or deeper control for advanced testing. If you want confident, repeatable readings without the bench setup headache, this is the decision guide you’ll wish you had sooner.

If your LCR workflow still starts with setup time and fiddly menu steps, you’re paying a hidden tax on every measurement. A true no-setup LCR meter streamlines the process so you can identify R, C, L, and ESR faster—without sacrificing certified accuracy or engineering-grade repeatability. That means fewer mix-ups, tighter troubleshooting loops, and more consistent quality checks whether you’re on the bench, on the line, or in the field. This article breaks down exactly what the time savings look like in real use and why the right instrument matters.
