We are happy to welcome Courtenay to the ZOO!🎉 She joined the herd in May.
Here is what she has to say about her experience with LlamaZOO so far!
"It's been a fantastic 2 months getting to know the team and product. LlamaZOO has really built something special here!"

Teamwork really does make the dream work! 💪
"You never know what you’re going to find when you join a new team. But LlamaZOO has been able to stay true to their values and maintain that ‘new start-up vibe’ of working together, making a difference, and having fun!".

Courtenay says the best part of LlamaZOO is the people. "It’s not everyday that you find a group that meshes so well together— especially when things don’t go as planned. Digital twinning is an evolving space. The way forward is not always clear but we are figuring things out together. In every meeting we have, it’s obvious that everyone on the team can see the possibilities and want to contribute to making it a reality."

Courtenay is excited for the future of LlamaZOO. "With everything you hear about The Metaverse these days it might seem like it’s a new concept but LlamaZOO has been working in this space, with this technology for almost 10 years. When you have this experience + a passionate team + growing interest in the technology… You can have confidence in what we’re building."
"In my opinion, it’s not a matter of IF LlamaZOO is going to become a big name in the digital twinning space, it’s a matter of WHEN… And I’m here for it!"

We're glad to hear that Courtenay is enjoying ! 🦙🎉

Happy ! Today we celebrate and honour the diverse culture and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples across Canada.

The below article discusses what National Indigenous Day means to different individuals.

"It's so important for us. This is a day to feel acknowledged in a country where you feel so little, where we still have to fight for our rights and freedoms" - Jodie Ashini, cultural guardian for the Innu Nation.

Unreserved asked a few friends of the show — Indigenous people who are celebrated in their own right — what National Indigenous Peoples Day means to them and how to best spend the day.

The Llama spirit is what makes the ZOO a great place to work. 🦙 Here's what Iqubal has to say about it after working remote for 6 months in Dubai and India then moving across the world to join our team at head office in Victoria! ✈️

"What I love the most about LlamaZOO is the work culture and team spirit. Everyone in the team is very friendly and helpful. Thanks to the amazing project management here, I have been able to maintain a very good work-life balance. In terms of work, the team here is very qualified, quality is well maintained in work and it reflects in the final product."

We're glad to hear that Iqubal has been enjoying ! 🎉 As for the big move, life in Victoria is also turning out pretty great for Iqbal as well.

"It was always a dream to live and work in a beautiful place like Victoria. The fact that it is also an Island takes the experience to another level. The office view is as breathtaking as it can get, right in the front of the inner harbour with seaplanes and boats. The Island is full of attractions and there's always something interesting to do at the weekend."
