Local resident, Allen Specht, has just published a history of one of Fairfield's
most colorful heritage buildings, the apartment house on lower Cook Street,
named Hampton Court. The book is available at Books and Shenanigans (347 Cook St.), Ivy's Book Shop (Oak Bay Ave.) and via the author by emailing [email protected].

Allen Specht, retired archivist (RBCM) and author of several works about
B.C.'s and Victoria's history, presents the history of one of Victoria's most
colorful heritage buildings, the apartment house named Hampton Court.
This amply-illustrated book tells the story of those who created Hampton
Court, those who took it as their home and those who saved it from demolition.
