Back from Printing United and back to work.
We came home with plenty of ideas after seeing some of the latest equipment, software and technology being developed for the print industry.
Now comes the fun part: figuring out what might make sense for our shop and our customers.

A couple of days out of the shop and into one very big print show.

We were at Printing United in Las Vegas last week, getting a look at some of the newest equipment and technology making its way into the industry.
Checking out everything from production presses and finishing equipment to workflow automation and AI, with plenty of conversations along the way about where print is heading next.

A look behind the scenes at one of our busiest pieces of equipment.
Our C.P. Bourg PUR perfect binder takes printed book blocks and turns them into finished paperback books, applying the adhesive, adding the cover and forming the spine.
After that, it's off to the three-knife trimmer for the final cut.
These are a few of the steps between sending us a PDF and holding a finished book in your hands.

Good print does not need to be complicated.

It just needs to be clear, reliable, and ready when people need it.

One of the most satisfying parts of our job is helping customers avoid problems they didn't even know existed.

A missing bleed, a low-resolution image, a colour issue that only shows up when it goes to print.

Most of these things take just a few minutes to fix before production, but can be frustrating and costly if they're discovered afterwards.

That's why we take the time to review every file that comes through our shop.

It's a small step that makes a big difference, and it's something we've always believed is worth doing right.
