A little hello from the person behind the paper. ✨
It's been a little while since I've properly introduced myself, and there are quite a few new faces around here, so I thought I'd say hello!
To start, I'm Alessia Queen, the designer and founder behind Royal Stationery & Design.
A lot of my inspiration comes from old-world romance, historic architecture, antique correspondence, fine art, and the kind of craftsmanship that feels increasingly rare today. If you've been following for a while, you've probably noticed my love for handmade paper, letterpress, vintage artwork, silk ribbon, and anything that feels as though it could have been discovered inside an antique writing desk.
I'm endlessly inspired by historic European architecture, and I'll always choose a beautifully bound book over scrolling my phone. I also have a habit of collecting far too many vintage paper goods "for inspiration." I'm endlessly drawn to beautiful details and the stories behind them, which is probably why I love designing wedding stationery so much. When I'm not working, my favourite place to be is at home with my husband and our little long-haired Chihuahua, Sox, who somehow manages to fit the world's biggest personality into the tiniest frame. She's opinionated, endlessly entertaining, and also happens to be the employee of the month - every month. 🤎
Most importantly, I want to say thank you for being here. Social media, especially Instagram, can feel emotionally exhausting at times. But even with its challenges, I still think it's pretty incredible that we have a space to share our creativity, connect with so many wonderful people, and be invited into such meaningful moments.
