Apple introduced the Tap to Pay feature for iPhone, ...

Early rumors were right after all - Apple has officially unveiled a new Tap to Pay feature that will allow merchants to use their iPhones as a point-of-sale terminal.

How it works?

The new service will support Apple Pay (both iPhone and Apple Watch), contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets. Sellers will not need any additional equipment, only a smartphone with NFC. To make a successful payment, you just need to bring another gadget or a bank card to this smartphone.

Tap to Pay uses the same payment data protection as Apple Pay, with Secure Element encryption that generates unique transaction IDs every time you make a purchase.

Tap to Pay on iPhone will work with contactless credit and debit cards from leading payment networks, including American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa.

The service will also be available to developers for integration into their applications. The first platform will be Stripe.
Tap to Pay will work first in the US, but a little later.

How to clear smartphone memory using a secret code.

It's no secret that in modern smartphones, part of the space is occupied by system memory, which is used for the needs of the operating system. Typically, various update files, memory dumps, system data cache, and various system batch data are stored here. Often it is this section that takes megabytes from the user and eventually leads to a lack of memory in the device.
To delete the system error log, we need to get into the hidden SysDump menu. To do this, open the Phone application and dial the combination * # 9900 #.
In the opened system menu, click on the "Delete dumpstate / logcat" item. The cleanup process will begin immediately, after which a pop-up message will appear stating “Delete Dump”. Click "OK" and close the menu. This process is not visualized in any way, so you just need to wait.
Note also that this code does not work on all smartphone models, but it's worth a try, because it won't take much of your time.

macOS Monterey lets you use Apple computers as AirPlay screens.

Apple has finally released macOS Monterey to the general public. The update brings several new features, including Focus mode for notifications, SharePlay, Live Text, and more. Another new feature is the ability to stream AirPlay from iPhone or iPad to Mac without the need to install third-party apps.

For those who for some reason still do not know, we remind you that AirPlay is a wireless protocol from Apple, created for streaming audio and video from one device to another, for example, on an Apple TV or HomePod. Now, with macOS Monterey, users can easily turn their Macs into AirPlay servers. In other words, you can play a song or even share your iPhone or iPad screen and stream it all to Mac.

How dust affects computer performance

A running computer generates heat all the time. If the user, for example, is playing a "demanding" game, the computer works even more complex and therefore heats up more and more. Problems arise when more heat is generated than the fan can handle. Dust accumulation is one of the main factors for insufficient heat dissipation.

The accumulation of dust inside the system unit or laptop affects performance in two ways: it keeps the computer "hot" and makes it difficult for the internal fans to remove heat from the system.

A dense accumulation of dust in the fan slows down the speed of its operation, thereby preventing rapid cooling of the system unit components. It is the same with the dust around the radiator, which slows down heat dissipation and leads to a rapid rise in system temperature.

Surprisingly, even to***co smoke can affect computer performance. Regular smoking near the system unit contributes to the deposition of resins in the ventilation openings of the device (similar to how they settle in the lungs of a person).

The processor has built-in protection against overheating: when the peak temperature is reached, the operating frequency decreases, and with it, the voltage. This process is called throttling. Throttling saves the processor from damage due to overheating but dramatically affects its performance. If throttling does not help, various components of the computer begin to shut down.

Apple will allow iPhone users to repair their devices

Apple plans to provide customers with the ability to repair their own devices. This is due to growing pressure from regulators and consumers around the world - their requests for manufacturers to loosen restrictions on product repairs have worked.
