The very first FIS Esports Alpine World Ski Championships have successfully wrapped. Thanks to all our players for competing, and congratulations to our individual event World Champions:

Super-G: Will Walton (CAN)
Downhill: Clement Mauksch (GER)
Giant Slalom: Miha Voga (SLO)
Slalom: Miha Voga (SLO)

Voga, Walton, and Mauksch each win a pair of HEAD SuperShape eSpeed skis.

And, based on WC points for finishing, we are able to declare the Longines Overall FIS Esports Alpine World Ski Champion! Miha Voga of Slovenia, with two Golds and two Bronze medals, edges out Will Walton of Canada, with one Gold, a Silver, and two Bronze medals. Voga wins a watch from Longines, the official time keeper of the FIS Esports Alpine World Ski Championships.

By order of the Race Director, FIS Esports (that's me), invitations to compete in the first FIS Esports Alpine World Ski Championships will be extended to all players that entered our "Road to Cortina" qualifying races.

Competition begins at 1500h PST / 0000 CET!

Each race (SG, DH, GS, SL) is open for a few days, and the Esports World Champion will be the fastest competitor when the Longines Event Clock reaches 00:00 remaining.

We will also be declaring an "Overall" Esports World Champion, based on WC points earned across the four events in-game. More prizes to be announced, but our overall winner will receive a watch from Longines, and discipline winners receive skis from HEAD and gloves from Reusch.

Good luck to everyone in the group who is competing!

The Night Race in Schladming - the penultimate stop on the Road to Cortina and the FIS Esports World Championships is complete! Giorgio Coniglio wins and remains overall leader. Simone Ronconi (ITA) takes second (first woman character on podium), and Miha Voga (SLO) is third. Five days remain to qualify, and the legendary Kandahar races in Garmisch-P are on now!

That's a lot of dudes on the podium of the "Snow Queen" stop on the Road to Cortina, but congrats to Miha Voga from Slovenia for the win, and therefore automatically qualifying for one of the 30 SL starts for the FIS Esports Alpine World Ski Championships.

The second DH race on the Road to Cortina took place last week in Lake Louise, and we have Miha Voga on the podium in 2nd place, from Slovenia.

Two wins in a row for Giorgio Coniglio from Italy, and a second 3rd place finish for Darthdadbod from Canada.

A win automatically qualifies a racer for the FIS Esports Alpine World Championships - so Coniglio is already on their way. There's 29 slots open for the DH, but there's SuperG, SL, and GS in Zagreb and Adelboden before the famous Lauberhorn in Wengen.
