Weโ€™re thrilled to share that ATA participated in the 10th annual Gamers Gather Grub fundraising challenge and, as a team, raised an incredible $10,750 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB)! ๐ŸŽ‰
Thanks to the Food Bankโ€™s buying power, our fundraising efforts are doubled to $21,500 worth of food, helping support individuals and families in need. Together with Demonware and Next Level Games, this yearโ€™s challenge raised a total of $28,553โ€”a powerful impact for our communities! ๐Ÿ’ชโœจ
Hereโ€™s why supporting the GVFB matters:โ€จ๐ŸŒŸ They assist approximately 15,000 individuals monthly across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and the North Shore.โ€จ๐ŸŒŸ In 2024, they distributed 8.9 million pounds of food to those in need.โ€จ๐ŸŒŸ This year, theyโ€™ve supported 27,500 unique lives, registering 7,000 new clients.

We are excited to welcome recent VFS grad Jessy Yu onboard for a 6-month Game Design internship at our studio. Jessy won a scholarship dedicated to Women in Game Design, which provided her with one year of mentorship during school, and a 6-month internship upon graduation.

The team here at ATA is very proud to participate in this program that aims to increase women and non-binary folks in games.

Itโ€™s official, out of 10 competing companies, ATA has held on to the #1 fundraiser title of the 2023 Gamers Gather Grub! We love supporting this wonderful initiative which supports The Greater Vancouver Food Bank and all the amazing work they do for those in need.

This year ATA raised a massive $13,500 and $31,259 was raised as a collective group of studios! The most amazing part is that the Food Bank can double the donation amounts with their buying power.
