I'm Vicky! I specialize in marketing, branding, and design. I currently live in Vancouver, Canada. I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Commerce and a Minor in Visual Art. I started my graphic design business this year and decided to spend time outside of my 9 to 5 pursuing my passion for illustration, typography, and calligraphy.
♢ When did you start drawing?
In elementary school! My earliest memory of drawing is when I was maybe 6 and my teacher taught me how to draw a three-dimensional box, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever! 🙈
♢ What are some tips on improving illustration skills?
A ruler is your best friend! Pay close attention to proportions. It's all about the details!
♢ What inspires you?
I'm most often inspired by my experiences and the people in my life. Emotions play a big part too - love, joy, pain. I'm also inspired by talented artists on social media.
♢ How did you get into art?
My grandmother loved painting and drawing, so growing up I would spend a lot of time drawing with her - she nurtured my love for art!
♢ What's your favourite food?
Chocolate chip cookies! If you've got a good 🍪 recipe, please send it my way!
