We are thrilled to see our U.S. launch of the BrazeCam™ Backup Camera featured in Mobility Management.

As we continue our mission to "smart" every wheelchair, this dedicated rear-vision system represents a major step forward in obstacle detection and user independence. Designed specifically for the unique needs of wheelchair users, the BrazeCam™ provides high-resolution, wide-angle visibility that helps eliminate the "unknown" when reversing in tight or busy spaces.

A huge thank you to the team at Mobility Management for highlighting our latest innovation in assistive technology!

Our CEO & Founder, Pooja Viswanathan, was recently featured in IEEE Spectrum, sharing her vision for the next generation of smart wheelchair technology.

Pooja discusses the critical path from fully autonomous AI systems (like REXASI-PRO) to practical solutions. The conversation highlights the technical challenge of human-centered AI—creating sensors and algorithms that learn a user's unique motor and cognitive needs to provide personalized, trustworthy assistance in real-time.

A key point? The future of autonomous mobility is not about having a chair that drives for you. It’s about leveraging Artificial Intelligence to create a smart co-pilot that gives you the agency and confidence to explore your world.

Pooja emphasizes that the goal of assistive technology must always be to support, not replace the user.

Her mission is to create reliability—using AI to develop technology that works not just in ideal lab conditions but in the variable, "messy" conditions of real-world daily life, while keeping costs accessible.

Big news! We’ve officially launched the BrazeCam™ backup camera in the U.S.! 🇺🇸

Navigating a crowded room or reversing into a tight elevator shouldn’t be stressful.

BrazeCam™ gives you a clear, wide-angle view of what’s behind you, so you can move with total confidence.

Why you’ll love it:
🔹 Crystal clear HD resolution
🔹 Water resistant & durable for everyday use
🔹 Fits almost any manual or power wheelchair
🔹 Works perfectly alongside our Braze blind spot sensors

We’re heading to the Abilities Expo in Long Beach next week to show it off! Come visit Terrence and the team at Booth #1045 to try it out yourself.

Had an incredible time in Tucson, Arizona last week, exhibiting at the Reliable Medical Summit!

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the Reliable Medical team and share how we’re continuing to push the boundaries of independence and safety for wheelchair users. Whether it’s our blind spot sensors or backup camera, feedback from partners on the front lines of complex rehab technology (CRT) is invaluable.

At Braze Mobility, we’re focused on creating technology that is not only life-changing for the user but also strong on margins and easy to explain to our providers.

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth to chat and discuss how we can better serve the community together!

A big week for Braze Mobility at MaRS Discovery District.

Yesterday, we presented our mobility technology to Ontario’s Trade & Investment Officers—highlighting how Canadian-built accessibility solutions can scale globally.

Today, alongside fellow Toyota Mobility Foundation Mobility Unlimited Hub ventures, we welcomed Canada’s Accessibility Commissioner, Christopher T. Sutton, to discuss mobility technology can contribute not only to accessibility, but to Canada’s innovation economy.

Proud to represent Canadian accessibility innovation on both the national and global stage.

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect with deep gratitude on the people and communities that made this year so meaningful for Braze Mobility.

From connecting with clinicians, researchers, partners, and wheelchair users across the U.S., Canada, the UK, Taiwan, and Australia, to meeting new collaborators and reconnecting with familiar faces at conferences around the world—thank you for the conversations, insights, and shared commitment to advancing mobility and independence.

This year also marked exciting milestones, including the launch of our USB backup camera for wheelchairs and the expansion of our global reach through new distribution partnerships in the UK and Australia. Seeing our technology adopted in new regions—and shaped by local expertise—has been incredibly energizing.

To everyone who visited our booths, joined trainings, trials, panels, and in-services, or simply stopped to say hello—thank you for being part of our journey. We’re inspired by what’s ahead and look forward to continuing to build together in the year to come.

Wishing you a warm holiday season and a bright start to the new year.
