What Is Possible According to Physics

1. Time Dilation – Forward Time Travel
Proven and Real: According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, time moves slower for objects moving very fast or in strong gravitational fields.

Example: Astronauts on the International Space Station age slightly slower than people on Earth. This is real time travel — but only forward, and by fractions of a second.

2. Wormholes – Theoretical Bridges in Spacetime
Predicted by General Relativity.

In theory, could connect two points in spacetime — possibly allowing travel between different times.

Problem: Requires exotic matter (with negative energy density), which hasn’t been observed. Also, stability is a huge issue — wormholes might collapse instantly.

3. Cosmic Strings / Tipler Cylinders / Closed Timelike Curves
These are hypothetical constructs that, under very specific conditions, might allow for closed loops in time.

Major issues: These require immense energy or conditions we don’t know how to create or survive.
