Thank you Lisa MacLeod for hearing and understanding the importance of dance schools for our children.

Ontario's Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport says she is working with her counterparts at the health ministry to find a way to allow dance studios to reopen in the province's so-called ''hot zones'' that are under increased COVID-19 restrictions.

Stand by studio owners, dancers and families who have been affected by these closures and ask for our government to reevaluate the classification of dance studios.

Dance studios have been unfairly classified as part of the Ontario government’s modified phase 2 restrictions in COVID hot spots including Toronto, Peel and Ottawa regions. While dance studios are required to shut their doors, no other physical activities for children have been required to shut down in these areas including gymnastics, hockey, karate and more.
