Great to see Alexander Ngai, Director of Business Planning, take the stage yesterday at the "Clean Compute: Canada’s Grid in the AI Era" panel hosted by Climate Tech Canada.

As AI-driven demand accelerates, the discussion brought together founders, innovators, and infrastructure operators to explore how to build and scale digital infrastructure responsibly—balancing growth with sustainability and climate goals.

Alex shared perspectives on how data centre operators can support this shift through more efficient, advanced infrastructure and smarter approaches to power and connectivity. This includes Telehouse Canada’s recent upgrades and the introduction of direct liquid cooling (DLC) within our urban campus—enabling more sustainable, high-density deployments.

On June 9, John Campbell, Director of Projects and DX, will be a featured speaker at Data Center Nation Toronto.

John will be speaking on the panel: “From server racks to city blocks: Canada’s waste-heat revolution”.

Performance, connectivity, and sustainability continue to shape modern data centre strategies. The panel will explore ways to turn waste heat into resources for Canadian communities and infrastructure.

This discussion aligns closely with our recent work at Telehouse Canada. We recently deployed direct liquid cooling technology to support high-density compute environments and AI workloads while continuing to deliver low-latency connectivity and proximity to end users. Through our partnership with Enwave, captured heat can be repurposed rather than released into the atmosphere, supporting a more sustainable approach to cooling.

We’re excited to share that Andy Fenton, VP of Sales and Marketing, will participate in the “Building Sovereign AI Stacks” panel at OCP—contributing to a critical conversation on the future of sovereign digital infrastructure.

The panel will explore sovereign AI beyond geography—examining the full stack of hardware, software, and security that underpins it. It will also address what it takes to build sovereign AI environments, from the feasibility of sovereign AI clouds to the realities of data jurisdiction, regulatory requirements, and the central role of data centre infrastructure, including key constraints such as power availability, cooling, and location strategy.

Sovereign AI introduces new demands beyond traditional AI stacks—requiring alignment across policy, technology, and operations, as well as close collaboration between governments, vendors, and operators to achieve global scale.
