Online Event (zoom.us). Data Science Project Development: A high level and practical Step by Step demonstration. Workshop materials will be provided; however, only to those who will be present in the event. We might see if we can invite others to offer such workshops on their projects.
I want to show using one of my projects, how a data science project flows step by step. The project relates to Dietary Pattern Data analysis to find associations with diseases (such as High Blood Pressure, CKD or similar). The topic is not important; however, the steps followed in Data Science Research or Industry Projects - are the focus.

I will show all the steps in thinking (finding the dataset to all the way making the final decision based on dataset analysis and experiments). I will provide the high level overview. high level overview will help to think about (apply to) your own problem/project.
I will also show/mention the tools and coding that I used. Just the overview; not the detail code.

In any Graduate Level Program (MSc or PhD), you must have to take a research methodologies course. In data science program, it is called Data Science Research Methodologies. This session is about the Research Methodologies (steps) utilized in the project, an example, to see in practice. Sometimes the actual course might only tell you the theories/concepts with/or without examples (or with limited random examples might be for different research problems - not one full project) - it can be difficult to visualize those concepts to be able to utilize in real projects (by everyone, without enough and focused examples). This session, if I can do it well, will help to understand that for sure, more visually/understandably. If you are planning to take an MSc in Data Science, this can be of great help to think about your research project. You might even put thoughts in doing something similar (sure, try to do way better)
