What does it take to move fast when your systems are critical?

On the latest episode of Electric Mindset, host Dave Manley talks with Judy Dinn, Chief Information Officer at TMX Group, and Gary Teelucksingh, Senior Partner at Electric Mind, about the discipline, people and planning behind the technology that keeps Canada's capital markets running.

They cover why proactive maintenance beats waiting for something to break, how AI can help close the documentation gaps in older systems, and why the best technology leaders spend as much time educating as they do building.

We recently hosted our 2nd annual Wired Collective, bringing together women leaders in financial services for an evening of connection and conversation.

The room was full of honest advice, shared stories and new connections that will last well beyond one night. Events like this remind us that leadership grows through the people who make time for each other.

Thank you to every leader who brought a guest and every guest who brought her curiosity. We're already looking forward to our next event!

New home, same Electric Mind.

Last Thursday, we celebrated our new Toronto space with tacos and tequila, and a mariachi band that kept the energy high all night.

Spaces matter because of the people in them, and this one felt like home the moment you all walked in.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. The door is open, so come visit anytime!

Last week's Q3 town hall was a reminder that the best part of Electric Mind is the people in the room. We shared our wins, recognized the work behind them, and enjoyed some well-earned time together as a team.

We’re only beginning to unpack the value AI can create.

Today, the opportunity falls into three areas: reducing costs, driving new revenue, and managing risk. While cost is often the easiest place to start, the bigger opportunity will emerge as firms become more comfortable with what AI can make possible.

AI is only as useful as the systems it can connect to.

In wealth management, much of the value sits in integration. Meeting preparation should be informed by data across portfolio accounting and CRM systems, while actions and follow-ups should flow back into those systems without creating more manual work for advisors.

Without that connection, important context can get lost and opportunities for automation remain limited.

The technology matters. But making it work across the systems advisors already rely on is where the value comes together.

AI is changing the economics of software development.

At Electric Mind, we’re using that shift to help financial institutions accelerate their technology roadmaps while building the skills their teams need to create value with AI.

Our own AI-enabled tools have delivered 30–50% productivity gains in software development, opening the door to faster, more cost-effective modernization.

It’s not just about doing the same work faster. It’s about rethinking what organizations can accomplish and accelerating the roadmaps that move them forward.
