It’s officially up on the walls! My collection, “Growing Up,” is now live and installed at

This body of work is a deeply personal project for me - it’s a reflection on the chaotic, tender, and beautifully imperfect layers of motherhood, childhood, and community. Carving out time alongside my ongoing brand design practice to build these physical, dimensional stories has been a journey, and I am so excited to finally share them with the city.

The Deets:
📍 Venue: Wildhearts Cafe (509 Bloor St W)
🗓️ Dates: On view daily from now until June 13th
☕ Vibe: Entirely free to view. Grab a latte, find a cozy table, and take your time with the layers.

SAVE THE DATE: I’ll be hosting an open-door Industry & Closing Mixer on Wednesday, June 10th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. There will be custom mocktails, apps, and a chance to chat about the stories behind the art. I’d love to see you there!

As we wrap up Earth Week, I’m looking at how our urban living rooms are also vital living ecosystems.

In my recent feature for I dive into the logic and curiosity behind Toronto’s most successful public spots. It’s not just about aesthetics - it’s about how a flood-protection landscape like Corktown Common can double as a community sanctuary, or how an urban marsh can thrive in the heart of the East End.

Design is a democratic tool for connection - to each other and to the land we inhabit. Join me for a walk through the East End to see how we can reclaim the “spaces between” to build a more resilient city.

One of the biggest challenges in rebranding is knowing what to change - and what to keep.

When I started working with Vibha, it was clear that their human and sun elements weren’t just a logo, they were the heart of the organization’s history. In rebranding, clients often feel a deep connection to their original visual identity. My job as a designer isn’t always to start from scratch, but to bridge the gap between where they’ve been and where they are going.

For Vibha, I evolved these legacy elements into a more professional, integrated symbol. We kept the spirit, but realigned the ex*****on by building a comprehensive visual language. This involved refreshing the iconography, photography style, graphic elements, colour palette, and fonts to create a unified system that works on a global scale.

Strategy meets soul.

“Trees have long roots. We want to look at roots first as they spread to the branches—where the symptoms show.”

When the owners of Haven Wellness shared this philosophy with me, the visual direction clicked instantly. They didn’t just need a logo; they needed a symbol of that balance between deep-seated support and outward growth.

We anchored the brand in a “Tree of Life” concept—an interconnected system where roots and branches are given equal weight, creating a perfect mirror of their holistic approach to health.

Grounded, organic, and intentionally designed to be a refuge from the daily grind. This project was a beautiful collaboration with the team and on the interiors.

Growth lives in the uncomfortable.

I’ve been away from the screen, working on an art collection that dissects and commemorates the experience of parenthood. This piece, ‘Birth Flower,’ represents the grit and the unfiltered nature of creating life.

I believe a flourishing life requires the courage to find beauty in the uncomfortable. For me, art and design aren’t separate—they’re a cycle. Stepping into the studio and wrestling with new materials forces me out of my territory; finding solutions for the physical art makes me a better designer of the physical world.

When we allow our personal inspirations to bleed into our professional work, we evolve. We stop just “doing” and start creating from a place of genuine depth and curiosity.

My goal for 2026 is to protect this balance. Are you leaning into the ‘uncomfortable’ parts of your journey this year?

You see a graphic jungle. I see the successful integration of history and new brand vision.

For Albert’s Real Jamaican Foods, I collaborated with and I designed a 33-foot mural using a style of strong contrasts and bold colours to reflect the vibrancy of Jamaican flavours and take patrons back to tropical serenity.

Beyond the main wall, the design also extended to the windows - facing a parking lot, they needed to be addressed. I used minimal translucent graphics—like banana leaves and Birds of Paradise—to frame the urban view, allowing the design to complete the tropical immersion while remaining budget-conscious.

Yet, the true test of the entire design was its ability to become a backdrop. A design in a commercial space shouldn’t shout over the things the client cares about. This mural intentionally steps back, providing a lush, tropical foundation so the owner’s collection of historic photos, memorabilia, and cherished keepsakes can shine. The end result is a cohesive environment where the past and present feel truly unified.

Sometimes the most impactful design is the one that allows the client’s story to take centre stage.

I had such a wonderful time being part of the Swash&Serif 9 exhibit! The opening night was packed and buzzing for hours—a truly electric atmosphere!
The two pieces I had exhibited are part of my Growing Up collection — a parenting journey through mixed media. It is a growing collection that explores the chaotic, tender, and often humorous dimensions of motherhood, childhood, and community.
It’s through collections like this that I continue to explore how to translate complex, messy, and authentic human stories into resonant, visual experiences—a philosophy I bring to every branding project at IS Design Labs.
Here are a few photos of me and my little collaborators with the pieces. Also scroll to see some amazing work by other typography artists, which inspire me!

From a serene Thai lake to a local Pickering dining room. Here’s a look inside the creative journey for the mural, in collaboration with .

The challenge was to create an atmosphere that felt authentic yet completely new. We started with a concept inspired by Thailand’s breathtaking Sea of Red Lotuses. But how do you make a classic symbol like a lotus feel fresh and modern? We gave it a literal edge.

Instead of soft, painterly lines, we took the initial idea of stylized art and evolved it into a cubist-inspired style. Breaking the flowers and pads into geometric shapes gave the piece a vibrant, contemporary energy.

This mural became the heart of the space, with its palette of mystical purples, serene greens, and warm tans and pinks setting the colour story for the entire interior. It’s a perfect example of how one central piece of art can create a complete, immersive world.

What do you think of this modern take on a natural theme?

Working my way through the folds of this peony feels like navigating an intimate landscape - messy and gentle. It’s the groundwork for a deeper exploration of what it means to bloom, to create, to hold chaos and joy all at once.

To achieve this effect, I’m using a gel medium to create sheer, smeared textures, yet ensuring the reflection is always part of the piece. Consider this the first breath - a work-in-progress layer of my latest piece on being a parent. The full artwork is yet to be completed and revealed, though some of you may already know about its raw and unfiltered nature.

A Y L O U Y O O
My son once handed me a note that said, “Foravr Aylouyoo Mama and Papa.”
It took me a few seconds to realize he meant “I love you forever” — the words were out of order, misspelled, perfectly imperfect.
At my last gallery show, someone asked how I came up with the idea for my earlier quirky typographic piece. The truth is, this was the spark — this little note that felt like a secret code only our family could read.
I re-created his sweet, cryptic message on the glass of this infinity box, with toys spiraling inside in a Fibonacci pattern — a quiet nod to growth, play, and connection. This piece reminds me that love with kids often happens when we meet them in their world — on the floor with their toys, in their games, at their level.
