Toast has been named one of the Canada Small Business 100 for 2026!

It’s also a pretty great reminder of just how powerful this little engine is.

We’ve built Toast with a small team, a big belief that the way we work can be better, and a whole lot of heart behind what we’re doing. Being recognized like this is a really meaningful validation that the work matters, and that the change we’re trying to create is worth pushing for.

Huge thank you to everyone who has believed in Toast, supported us, worked with us, joined our community, hired through us, shared our work, or cheered us on along the way. ❤️

The Toast Summits ‘Choose Your Own Adventure Hour’ is stacked this year 🗺️

We like to leave a little room in the Summit schedule for you to roam, explore and choose what you’ll get the most out of. Whether you want to learn something new, meet someone new, move your body or simply take a moment to reset - this hour is yours. Here’s a little guide on what attendees can do during this time.

Today is the last day to grab tickets! See you tomorrow ⚡

There’s no dress code at Summit. Consider this your permission slip to wear what you want — especially the things you don’t always feel like you can wear in a traditional office setting.

Got something sitting in your closet that’s been waiting for the right occasion? This is it.

🩸 Your period has entered the workplace.

joni® will be joining us at Toast Summit next week, and they couldn’t be a better fit. They’re a woman-led, Canadian, Certified B Corp making period care more accessible, sustainable, and equitable - aka exactly the kind of company we love to have in our corner. They also recently launched their new period underwear 👀

Because menstruating at work shouldn’t mean hiding a tampon up your sleeve, pretending cramps don’t exist, or making a secret bathroom run. Yet somehow, it’s still a taboo topic.

joni samples will be handed out on-site, and they’ll be stocking up the bathrooms with their products for the day.

Check out their products here 👉 joni®

🎟️And if you haven’t grabbed your ticket head to the Lin in our bio

Did we mention Liz Plank is going to be joining us at the Summit on October 1st?

Not only will she be on stage for a fireside chat on ‘The Courage to be Called Selfish’ she’ll also be roasting *cough cough*😮‍💨 moderating, our ‘Men In Tech’ panel.

It’s Equal Pay Day. So, how does your salary actually compare? 👀

We teamed up with co-working girls to put real, anonymous salary submissions next to Canadian benchmarks for their city, role, and years of experience.

Some are underpaid. Some are right on target. One is earning well past the top of the senior band. Swipe to see where they landed.

Nobody should have to guess whether they’re paid fairly. Open salary talks are how we close the gap.

That’s what the Toast Talent Pool is for. Join it to:
🧡 be part of a community that talks about pay openly
🧡 get discovered by hirers
🧡 land a job with a salary that’s actually worth it, not one that leaves you underpaid
