As a PHP Developer, you will partner closely with our creative and delivery leads to create amazing work for our clients. You will get your hands dirty and develop the backend components for our clients' projects. You must have a passion for web development and app development, look for ways to increase efficiencies, and bring new ideas to the table to enhance our customers’ experience. This role will report directly to the managing director, with a lot of visibility and a chance to make a difference with the organization.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Project Managers, Creative, and Account leads to design, develop, and deliver digital marketing projects
Analyze systems hardware and software problems and develop and implement technical solutions, including implementation of upgrades
Assist with sales and development estimates
Lead the systems architecture and development teams to deliver the overall solution
Lead and mentor the developers, ensuring that development standards and best practices are being followed
Responsible for building and managing the development team
Maintain development architecture and development best practices
Provide project estimates and manage development teams through deliver process
Find deficiencies in process, and suggest improvements to increase productivity
Learning new web development technologies, and implement and help team members ramp up
Learn and grow constantly to feed your passion for self-improvement and make those around you better
Must Haves

----------

2+ years of web development and app experience, ideally for a digital agency
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, IT or a related field
Experience with Agile and Waterfall development
Experience delivering projects for clients, keeping the clients best interest in mind.
Strong experience with PHP, with emphasis on Laravel and codeigniter
Experience with Cloud Computing Services and Dev-ops
Building custom plug-ins in wordpress an asset
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
Familiarity with Atlassian project management tools, i.e. Jira, Confluence
Ability to work with client vendors to build solutions on-budget and on-time
Working knowledge of web development tools and technologies including HTML, CSS, and ES6
Ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced, solution-oriented environment
Expected start date: 2020-10-05

Who we’re looking for:

A strong communicator who is able to clearly understand clients requirements for development and communicate these requirements to the design and development team. Highly organized and structured in their approach, the digital account manager will work closely with the project manager to communicate client requests, while keeping all clients up to date with the progress of their project.

Key Responsibilities:

- Planning projects with clients and internal project management, design and development teams,

- Co-ordinating with project manager to ensure client requirements are understood and on schedule,

- Communicate with clients and keep them up to date regarding the status of their projects,

- Respond to new quote requests, RFPs to gather requirements for quotation,

- Present alpha and beta versions of projects to clients, gather feedback and communicate client requests to design and development team.

Qualifications:

- Familiarity with open source CMS systems such as WordPress, Open Cart, Magento,
- Basic understanding of mobile apps (trainable) and complex system development (trainable),

- Ability to write proposals and issue quotes, lead client presentations and negotiations.

Other Qualifications:

– Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills,

– Self-evident adaptability, a QUICK learner, tolerance for stress and ability to work to tight deadlines under minimal supervision,

– Proven ability to proactively identify, analyze, recommend and/or implement solutions for problems– Must exhibit a willingness to learn constantly and absorb new technical information.
