From Digitizing Healthcare to Shaping Its Future: A New Era for BlueBird iT Solutions Inc.

Twenty years ago, I walked away from an executive career at Dell, in pursuit of a vision to help bring Canadian healthcare into the digital age. From my basement, I founded BlueBird iT Solutions with a singular mission: help doctors transition from paper to Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), laying the foundation for a modernized healthcare system. What started as a bold leap of faith has grown into a remarkable journey of impact, trust, and innovation.

BlueBird iT has been the silent force integrating technology into clinics and Canadian healthcare infrastructure—ensuring doctors have reliable, secure, and efficient systems to provide the best possible patient care. From digitizing medical records to building and supporting the infrastructure that enables modern healthcare technology, we have shaped the backbone of Canada’s digital health evolution.

Technology cannot function in isolation. AI, EMRs, and digital applications are only as effective as the networks and hardware that power them. We architect, build, deploy, manage, monitor and support the digital environments where healthcare technology lives. We establish the networks and systems that connect doctors to the tools they depend on—serving as the bridge to the digital healthcare universe.

I’m thrilled to announce our partnership with WELLSTAR—a milestone that amplifies our mission and sets the stage for BlueBird iT to evolve from Canada’s trusted IT leader in healthcare to a global force in HealthTech. This step builds on the successes we’ve achieved with our customers and partners while unlocking emerging technologies like AI, automation, and advanced Provider Solutions.

Dear Valued Clients and Partners,

As we reflect on another incredible year at BlueBird IT Solutions, I want to take a moment to share my heartfelt gratitude and a glimpse into the vision that drives us forward.

This year marks a series of significant milestones for BlueBird. It has been 20 years since our incorporation and 15 years since we began serving our first healthcare client. Over the years, we have grown and evolved alongside the healthcare industry, striving to deliver innovative solutions to support doctors and their teams in providing exceptional patient care.

At BlueBird, we believe technology is a catalyst for transformation. What began as a mission to help clinics transition to electronic medical records has grown into a vision of creating a connected healthcare ecosystem in Canada—one that leverages technology to improve outcomes for all Canadians. Our goal is to empower healthcare providers with the tools and support they need to focus on their patients, while we take care of the IT that powers their practices.

This year, we overcame challenges, introduced new technologies, and expanded our capabilities to better serve you.
