Welcome to the future. I’ve worked at organizations in the past where 90% of the staff are mobile and don’t have permanent offices. They had office floors all over the city which were listed as mobile offices. You book a space online, show up, plug in, and that’s your office for the day. Management woke up one day and realized that most project teams were spread out across the city in different locations anyway. As long as you were online and getting business done, it didn’t really matter where you sat. And with the available tools out there for virtual meetings (Skype, Teams, Zoom), project teams can have meetings anytime. And you don’t need to worry about booking a room.
