Good Cable Management Is Almost Invisible
Nobody attends a conference to admire the cables.
And that's exactly the point.
A professional AV setup may require dozens—or sometimes hundreds—of audio, video, power, networking and control cables connecting equipment throughout a room.
Those cables still need to reach stages, screens, speakers, cameras and technical positions without creating unnecessary hazards or making the room look cluttered.
Good cable management means planning the routes carefully, keeping different systems organized and securing cables where people may be walking.
It also helps technicians troubleshoot quickly because organized systems are much easier to follow when something needs attention.
Behind the stage or technical area, cable management can look almost like a roadmap of the entire production.
For the audience, however, the goal is much simpler:
They shouldn't really notice it.
Professional event production is often about making complicated systems look simple.
