Recently GestureTek installed two interactive projection surface experience at THRIVE Child Development Centre. THRIVE chose our CUBE turnkey, plug and play, interactive floor projections not just because they are highly engaging for special needs children, but because they are easy to set up, and it is easy to choose, or change, a playlist of desired content from our library of applications. It is also easy to move them to new locations if they so wish.

I had a great day yesterday giving a talk at TEDx Canadore College 2024 in North Bay Ontario. The other speakers,Bill Buxton and Larry ORielly, were amazing. All the staff and management were great and put on a high quality event

Sad to see the Ontario Science Center has been closed, to move to a new location … I am hoping they will have room for these two great Gesturetek installations there …

I am so saddened to see that NBA’s Bill Walton has died at 71. Our very first immersive VR one on one basketball game at the Basketball Hall of Fame featured you with your on screen real-time live video image playing against the famed Bill Walton…. People loved it ….this video was of the most recent version

Many more Children’s Museums & Science Centres are creating special needs days & special rooms. The Imagine Children’s Museum (Seattle) loved our Interactive floors, both for the main exhibit area, but also for a special needs room that takes place once a week. The solution was to put our CUBE turnkey interactive floor projection unit on locking wheels. Once a week they can roll it to the special needs room during the allocated hours, & then roll it back. There is no need to re-calibrate it as it holds its calibration, & works great, picking up any body gesture close to the floor projection (foot, hand, or what ever).
