Biddeee was created by a group of Toronto professionals who all grew up in Scarborough, Ontario. During our teen years, we'd often canvass our neighbourhood, ringing doorbells, looking for jobs to do. Mowing lawns, raking leaves -- these were ways to earn spending money, just as they still are today. Biddeee is a two-sided platform, much like Uber, connecting residents and homeowners with the loca
l teen population to get chores completed. This solves two things: Teens no longer need to go door-to-door looking for work, and residents/homeowners no longer need to search out constant help with their property. On the homeowner/resident side, simply register and list the chore(s) you want completed and the time you want bids back by. Additionally, add any specific details that the teenager will need to know (ie - Bring your own mower/rake; lawn bags are provided, etc)
On the teenager side, a parent/guardian must create a 'Primary' account if the teen is under 18. (Teens as young as 13 can sign up through their parent/guardian). The parent/guardian registers and sets up the teenager account (called a 'Secondary' account): Job search radius is set up, jobs that can be completed, and bank account info for Direct Deposit activation. Once the above is set up, the Primary account creates a User Name and Password for the teenager, and the teenager can then log into their a own portal, which shows a map with all the jobs out for bid. The FAQ in both the Primary and Secondary can answer any questions you have during setup.
