A quick look at the four modes now available in version 3.0 of Shadow Colour for Revit and SketchUp.

Each helps answer a different question: where proposed shadows fall and how much shadow they add to the existing context, how long surfaces receive sunlight, how much area is in shadow at a given time, or how long a building casts shadow on a specific region.

Shadow Colour 3.1.3 is now available!

You can now select Revit Floors as regions to calculate shadowed and sunlit areas directly on specific site surfaces.

This makes it easier to analyze roads, sidewalks, parks, plazas, courtyards, and other urban surfaces.

Shadow Colour 3.1 is here!

Introducing Shadow Duration Analysis.

Measure how long areas remain in shadow from a specific building with clear, colour-coded visualizations of shadow duration.
The new study mode helps evaluate the impact of additional shadows (Net New Shadows) on surrounding areas such as parks, sidewalks, streets, and public spaces.
