Just clicking a suspicious link is not always the real trap.
The real danger starts after the click - when a fake page asks you to enter your password, OTP, card details, or download an unknown app.
Most phishing attacks do not win because someone clicked.
They win because someone panicked and filled the form.
A simple rule can save you:
Close the tab.
Open the real website yourself.
Never enter personal details on a page you do not trust.
Phishing links are becoming smarter, cleaner, and harder to spot - especially through SMS, WhatsApp, email, fake login pages, QR codes, and business messages.
Awareness is the first layer of cybersecurity.
