I used to be heavyyyy into analyzing the number of times I’ve restarted, where I thought I should be, what I thought I should have done by now, blah blah blah.
Somewhere along the way, I had convinced myself that starting over meant I was failing and falling behind.
But you know what ? Every time I thought I was absolutely coooooked, God moved mountains for me.
The problem isn’t always where we are. Maybe sometimes we just spend too much time focusing on what we don’t have instead of seeing all the blessings we do have.
Every restart taught me something.
Every detour protected me from something.
Every season that felt like I was “behind” was quietly preparing me for something bigger.
We put so much pressure on ourselves to have it all figured out by a certain age, season, or timeline…
Meanwhile God is over here still writing chapters we’re trying to skip ahead from.
Let this be your reminder to breatheeeeee 😮💨
You don’t need to have it all figured out today.
You don’t need to force what isn’t meant for you.
You don’t need to rush chapters God is still writing 👏🏼
Get outside, touch some grass - or better yet, touch the hem of His garment.
Look at the sky.
Notice the sunset.
Pay attention to the little things.
Because maybe the perspective shift you need isn’t in changing your whole life… or beating yourself up over what you haven’t done yet.
Maybe it’s in realizing there are blessings in the life you’re already living - the one you probably once prayed for 🤍
