More than a shirt. 🧡

September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day — a time to honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, their families and their communities.

The orange shirt is a reminder of the experiences of Indigenous children whose culture, language, identity and childhoods were taken from them through the residential school system, and of the lasting impacts that continue today.

Reconciliation requires more than recognition. It asks us to listen, learn, reflect and continue educating ourselves.
