Have you ever been in a tradeshow before? Have you notice how some companies show up all branded while others are making feel Meh, or say "all this space and this is how they are showing up"? Not even a logo, or a logo and nothing else...and you just walk passed by without anything that triggers your desire to find out more about who they are. That is called a missed opportunity in marketing.

Here we are standing in front of the Mission Control tradeshow booth. The branding of the tablecloths, the backdrop, the pullout banners and even some of the marketing material laying flat on the the table covering that big logo working together as a magnet.

A bold visual appeal that represents the brand, that gives you a taste of who they are, yet not enough for you to walk pass by without asking for more information or at least grabbing a brochure.

When exposing your brand, make it intentional. That's the difference between investment and expense.

About yesterday...

didn't disappoint. This is the second time I attend one of their events and it was not less than inspiring, mind blowing, exciting and innovative.

MCed the event like no other, it felt warm and personal as much as engaging.
gorbunova brought perspective about personal branding. It became very personal to me when at the event itself, I had my own unintentional personal brand created. I'll tell you more about this later...

in a humble expressive way drove us to a path of inspiration and action as he showed cased how in 3 years his career boomed. He shows up unique and committed to his childhood dream which open new doors of additional dreams.

got all the ohhh, wow, ahh....as she was showcasing the latest additions to some of the apps. It was absolutely mindblowing.

I love how we get the opportunity to speak directly to them right after the presentation and make it even more personal as we get to ask questions that relate entirely to us and strengthens our knowledge and spirit. I also made some incredible connections with other atendees which I am excited to see where they take us

Oh and let's not forget all the swag, although I am not certain the illustration looks like me (let me know if you think otherwise), it was still my fave.

I can't wait for the next one already. Until then

PS: if you were waiting for the story of my moment of fame, that deserves it's own post, so stay tuned...

It's been over two years and I have been itching to share with you the marvelous branding, design and marketing projects created for BRU Developments Inc.

Most of the projects are highly confidential and important and I am still unable to share them with you. We are talking about slidedecks for commercial construction and renovations, web development, reports, forms and other documentations. We are talking awesome big things...I wish you could see it, because it brings us all so much pride.

In lieu of it, I can show you a smaller project for the same client. A door hanger advertising home renovations in a neighborhood. I wonder if you got one of these at your door.

It’s International Design Day ✨

And this year, it has me thinking about the generations of designers to come…

Lately, I’ve been having so many conversations—with my students, colleagues, friends, and even my own daughter—about the future of work.

And I see it over and over again:

People struggling to choose a path.

Whether it’s their first career… or rethinking the one they’ve been on for years.

It reminded me of my own story.

At 17, I had no idea what I wanted to do.

Choosing a career felt like a forever decision—and that was just too big.

I ended up in design almost by accident.

Someone told me I’d be good at it… and that was enough for me to try.

What followed?
Long nights.

48-hour projects with no sleep.

Brutal critiques (the kind where you just hoped your work wouldn’t end up in the garbage that week 😅).

Laughter, tears, and friendships that got us through it all.

And yes… family stepping in to help when it felt impossible.

But I made it.

And I’m still making it.

That “unknown” path became my career.
A career I love.

One that keeps evolving as I grow, learn, and adapt with technology.

And now… I get to pass it on.

To teach, mentor, and support the next generation as they find their own way.

It’s been a ride—and it’s not over yet.

Happy International Design Day 💫

It has been the most inspiring weekend of the year yet ✨️

In my career, I've had to design tradeshow booths for companies in different industries. I am yet to be tasked to create such presence for a boutique luxurious event like I witness this weekend at the 2026 💎

Each booth was it's own experience inside and all around. None of them shared walls (unless you count the interior designers tribute "when in Rome" 🇮🇹, which to me it was a collective booth in itself). Every detail was strategically planned: the structures connecting seamlessly, the displays bold and attractive, the giveaways and hooks to make the attendants not to want to skip anything.

It was truly impossible to avoid one single exhibitor. The show and the creative team of each of the brands delivered a top notch 👌 bold statement. Some of them competitors among each other, yet you couldn't feel it as they took care of showing their brand and mission in a unique way.

The centre-court bar, the floral artsy café and the runaway that showcases creations from emerging fashion designers elevated the experience. Every detail was well calculated 🌹

Next time, I look forward to been part of this event as one of the creators that exposes a brand in its essence. It can't come soon enough.
