Save the date for a Spring Craft Supply Swap! 🖌️✂️
With Earth Day on our minds, we're planning a new swap to reduce, reuse, and recycle craft supplies! Why buy new when you can swap? Clear out your "someday" stash and refresh your creative materials!
Here's how it works:
➡️ Bring bags/boxes of crafting supplies to the McConnell Library between Monday, April 27th and Friday, May 15th and receive a voucher to use to "shop" for the same number of bags.
➡️ On Tuesday, May 26th from 5:30 – 7:30pm, the swap will be open to voucher holders only.
➡️ The public giveaway will occur on Wednesday, May 27th from 10am - 12pm while supplies last!
➡️ Please BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag) to the swap!
All items should be clean, usable, and in good condition.
✅ We accept: cardstock/patterned paper, fabric, yarn, stickers, scrapbooking supplies, paint/brushes, stamps, markers, colouring books, crochet hooks, Polyfill stuffing, Cricut supplies/leftover vinyl or iron-on and other assorted crafting supplies
🚫 We will not accept: partial glue bottles, dried-out pens/markers, other unusable items, unorganized supplies, or dangerous chemicals
❓ Not sure if an item is eligible? Leave a comment and we’ll let you know!
Any leftover items will be used to support programming at the Cape Breton Regional Library.
