γIt's Official!γRogers has officially announced the availability of 5G service in selected areas of the Toronto subway(TTC)!π β¨
Starting today, passengers on the Toronto subway can now use 5G service in designated tunnels and stations, enabling features such as calling, texting, and internet browsing.π
The initial phase of the 5G service rollout covers areas including all stations on the downtown U-shaped stretch of Line 1 Yonge-University-Spadina, as well as 13 stations on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth from Keele station to Castle Frank station, along with the tunnels between St. George station and Yonge station.π€³
The 5G network also allows all passengers to use 911 service in the covered areas, regardless of their mobile service provider.
