Yesterday, I visited Theresa Qadri at the Stittsville Food Bank. This incredible organization is powered entirely by volunteers and relies on the generosity of our community. They work tirelessly to make sure no one in our community goes hungry, but the need is constant.

As Christmas approaches, the need becomes even greater: This month alone, they’re preparing to support several hundred families right here in Stittsville.

A huge THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who work so hard to help people in need. 🙏

There are many ways that YOU can make a difference:
✅ Donate financially through their website
✅ Drop off non-perishable food at your local grocery store, at our ward office at CARDELREC-Goulbourn
✅ Support one of the many community groups organizing fundraisers this season
✅ Mark your calendar for December 13, when OC Transpo and the Stittsville Food Bank will host their annual “Fill the Bus” campaign at Brown’s Independent and No Frills.

Stittsville Whole Health Pharmacy

COVID-19 and flu vaccines are now available to everyone in Ontario aged six months and older. The vaccines are free and are available from your primary care provider, pharmacist, or community clinics run by Ottawa Public Health.

Earlier this week I dropped in to see Avish Shah at Stittsville Whole Health Pharmacy on Stittsville Main Street to get my flu and COVID shots. And it didn't hurt a bit! 💉
