Months of preparation, years of dedication, and one unforgettable weekend of fiddling starting tomorrow.

And we have some new hardware to present at the 2026 Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Competition!

New trophies for the Junior & Senior Grand Masters Champions & finalists including an annual plaque for each class. Who's name will be the first inscribed? The Ward Allen Memorial Award for Best Waltz is a beautiful Maple Leaf shaped trophy, so appropriate to honour the composer of Maple Sugar. These beautiful awards represent excellence, achievement, and a place in Canadian fiddle music history.

A very special thank you to CT Awards & Promotions in Manitoba for creating these beautiful custom awards for this year's competition! Your craftsmanship will help make these achievements even more memorable for our competitors.

The 2026 Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Championships is proud to welcome three of Canada's most accomplished fiddlers as this year's judges.

🏆 Julie Fitzgerald – Two-time Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Champion, acclaimed performer, arranger, educator, and member of The Fitzgeralds.

🏆 Louis Schryer – Eight-time Canadian Fiddle Champion and four-time Canadian Grand Masters Champion, renowned for his exceptional musicianship and versatility.

🏆 Scott Woods – Two-time Canadian Grand Masters Champion, celebrated performer, entertainer, and one of Canada's most recognized ambassadors of old-time fiddle music.

With decades of experience performing, teaching, and competing, these distinguished musicians bring an incredible depth of knowledge and passion to the judging panel.
